_Winter Break is near a end. Class begins February 5 so thought I could get another drawing done and practice chiaroscuro. ... This is my rough sketch with vine charcoal and a soft black Nitram charcoal. Going to use Flannel Grey Charcoal paper with CarbOthello Red Manguum and White pastel pencil: like the previous portrait. (FYI still taking break from the pearls on Oil Painting Portrait 😳☹️) I am most proud of this drawing because I got the proportions closer than any portrait I've drawn. Really looking forward to learn the proper techniques in Head drawing class one day. Until then practice, practice and practice. I don't have all the values render in her because it is just a rough sketch to the final portrait; but yet enough for me to properly identify the lights and shadows. __________ Final drawing head tilted and less of upper lip. Used white and manguum red pastel color pencil on Flannel Grey Charcoal paper.
